Gimme-Jimmy 4 Awards
Thank you, Kalpart, for adding Gimme-Jimmy’s latest award, the 2013 Indie Excellence Finalist Award, to the cover. Gimme-Jimmy now has four awards, including the 2013 Reader Views Third Place, and the 2012 Readers Favorite Silver Medal and the 2012 Pinnacle Achievement Award. This makes 15 awards for my books, and I am so grateful to all those who made this possible…and especially to my awesome illustrator Kalpart, and to SBPRA for having faith in me!!!

I had a lovely Book-reading event at Pages, A Bookstore in Manhattan Beach, CA, joined by fellow children’s author, Sheri Fink! Two bestselling children’s authors at one event – pretty special. My sister, Judy Shaffer, was able to attend and held the book illustrations up for the children to see as we read the books. Thank you to Cherish, the Pages manager, for allowing us such a wonderful occasion, and I hope that any of you who live near the South Bay will take a look at the store. Both Sherri and I have our books available there!
