I am happy to announce that another of my children’s plays has been accepted for publication at Lazy Bee Scripts.  The Alphabet Trip is for Kindergarten and/or First Grade, and each child has at least one line in the play.  Very Exciting!!  Please stay tuned for additional information.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month – Call on “Manner-Man”!

I received a very nice note from Sharon Fialco, author of the Starabella Book Series which also deals with the issue of young children and bullying…  Manner-Man is a Superhero who helps children cope with bullying!!

OCTOBER IS NATIONAL BULLYING PREVENTION MONTH. Sherrill, I just want to add this about your books – your fun and gentle approach is wonderful. The very youngest children should be taught proper social behavior in a gentle, entertaining way. These are their learning years. The Starabella books do the same. Most children are very unhappy to see their peers treated unfairly or cruelly. We want to encourage them be pro-active and know that standing up for another is the “cool” thing to do. SBPRA author Sherrill S. Cannon and her daughter Kerry E. Gallagher have written a play that is featured in JoAnn Ross’ new release, Christmas on Main Street.

Their play, ABC December, is the holiday play that is performed in the Christmas in Shelter Bay novella that is part of the collection that includes four holiday romances.

Sherrill is the author of several award-winning children’s book, including Santa’s Birthday Gift, Peter and the Whimper-Whineys, The Magic Word,Gimme-Jimmy, and Manner-Man.

 

“ABC December” debuts in the JoAnn Ross novella, “Christmas in Shelter Bay”, included in the just released “Christmas on Main Street”

So thrilled to receive an autographed copy of Christmas on Main Street from bestselling author JoAnn Ross!  The play, “ABC December”, is written by me and my daughter, Kerry Gallagher, and published by Lazy Bee Scripts.  JoAnn Ross uses the play as part of a Holiday performance given by the heroine of the novella, Christmas in Shelter Bay.  Her main character Kelli is a kindergarten teacher, which is especially fun for us since Kerry is also currently a kindergarten teacher!
