I have just received word that Manner-Man has won its third award – an Honorable Mention in the London Book Festival! I am especially pleased since I hope this will help the children of the United Kingdom learn about Manner-Man, with its message of coping with bullying and getting along with others. According to one congratulatory comment, Manner-Man is truly an International book!!

Nice note about Manner-Man from a Grandmother
Cute Note from Crystal’s Tiny Treasures
Thank you, Tristan!!!
“The children have been having me read either Santa’s Birthday Gift or Manner-Man at least once a day. When Tristan found out who I was emailing, he wanted me to give you this message about Manner-Man: “I LOVE it! I love it, I love it!! (put an explaination (his pronunciation) mark at the end)”! Between Tristan and Kallista they almost have the book memorised already! After Christmas Tristan wants to make the badge and is already planning how to do it. Kallista has me stop on every page and points to the characters and finds ones that look like each member of our family, it’s so cute.”
I love getting photos of children enjoying my books!

Crystal’s Tiny Treasures Review of Santa’s Birthday Gift
Thank you to Crystal’s Tiny Treasures for the nice review of Santa’s Birthday Gift.
“In beautiful rhyming meter, Sherrill tells the story of of a toy maker who sees a light in the sky and hears of baby Jesus’ birth. He wants to take one of his toys as a gift to him. Tristan’s favourite part of the book is when Santa and his reindeer run out of snow.
He traveled a long way, then ran out of snow,
And wasn’t sure how he’d be able to go.
So he offered a prayer as he looked to the sky
And suddenly his reindeer were able to fly!
With Santa’s giving heart, he not only gave a gift to Jesus, he also gave gifts to everyone in attendance. With each gift he gave, another one appeared in his sack. His gift to Jesus was to return and give presents to all the good boys and girls around the world each year, and thus Sherrill weaves the mystery of Santa and the Nativity together.
This book has been a great hit in our home!”
