Another reminder for Christmas giving! Peter and the Whimper-Whineys helps parents cope with whining, disguised as a fun story! Peter is a little rabbit who whines all the time, and his mother warns him that if he doesn’t stop he’ll have to go live with the Whimper-Whineys! The story is especially effective when the reader uses a whining voice whenever a character whines. Children learn how annoying the sound of whining can be!
This is a story that my mother told to my brother and me when we were young, and later to her grandchildren and hundreds of second graders during her long teaching career. In an effort to preserve the story, I taped her telling the story and then put it into rhyme (since that’s what I love to do!) Fortunately SBPRA liked it too – and it’s now sold over 1500 copies and climbing. I hope you’ll consider sharing it with your children (if you have any who whine… LOL)
Peter and the Whimper-Whineys is the Winner of 2 Awards: Winner of the 2011 Readers Favorite Bronze Medal and the 2011 USA Best Books Finalist Award, the year I first discovered the fun of entering contests!!
