Diversity is Important in Children’s Books

Today there was a special on CBS about the importance of diversity in children’s books. I’m happy to report that my books have deliberately included characters who are similar to most children, because every child should be able to find herself/himself within the book… It’s not just the message of the words in the book, but the illustrations as well. So please take the time to look at some of the covers of my books – or read one of them to your children – and enjoy inclusion of all… 95 Awards later, more are on the way.
