Back to School with Mice and Spiders and Webs…Oh My!

Winner of 5 Awards

Everyone is getting ready for school to resume – whether virtually, in-person, or a combination of the two – and perhaps you might share Mice & Spiders & Webs…Oh My! with your home-schooled or back to class kids..

Winner of 5 Awards, Mice & Spiders & Webs…Oh My! illustrates the importance of being a good listener. It also is a cute  introduction to basic computer terms.

Rosemary is worried about returning to school, after her teacher has warned the class that they would soon have some mice, spiders and webs in the classroom!  What could this mean?

Rosemary has decided that there’s no way she’s returning to THAT…

Will she discover that the “mice” refers to the mouse she will use on the new computer her class is using – and ways to use computers and tablets for learning?

Could it be that “spiders” are only associated with the school webpage that has been added to the curriculum,  and allows communication between students, teachers and friends?

And why only “females”?  Is there discrimination here?

(If you think you know why, please comment on this post!!!)

The rhyming children’s books has won 5 Awards:   It has won a Global eBook Gold Medal, a Bronze Medal in the FAPA Awards, a Readers’ Favorite H.M. Award, a Reader Views Reviewers Choice H.M and also a Pinnacle  Achievement Award ISBN: 978-1-63135-949-1 – $13.00

It’s been fun to see that Mice & Spiders & Webs…Oh My! has been popular on amazon lately… This book is actually a mystery book (with a surprise ending), which also teaches youngsters about computers and computer terms… not to mention how to get along in the classroom!!!   (My teen grandson remarked, …”I did not see that coming…”)

My CureJM Fundraiser is Still Active – Please Take a Look

I was reminded that I hadn’t mentioned my CureJM Fundraiser site in a long time , probably since my emphasis has been on my Poetry Books lately.

Please remember that 50% of the cost of my children’s books goes to the CureJM Foundation, when purchased through my Fundraiser website at www.sbpra.com/CureJM

Juvenile Myositis is an incurable autoimmune disease, striking many young children without warning.. The CureJM Foundation has come a long way, and the results of their efforts are shown in the extended lives of many children who several years ago had a much shorter life expectancy – but the battle is not yet won.

All of my Award-Winning children’s books are available through this site.  Since many of my kid-reviewers have enjoyed the books but have now outgrown them, I’m now looking for others in the 3-9 age-range who might care to review them for me!  Just let me know at www.sherrillcannon.com

Here is a brief summary of the books and their awards:

Mice and Spiders and Webs…Oh My! is a Mystery!

MSW5Mice & Spiders & Webs…Oh My! is not what it seems… Little Rosemary is afraid to go back to school after her teacher has warned the class that they would soon have mice and spiders and webs in the classroom.  Imagining all the worst that could happen – like having smelly mice on her desk, and the kids teasing her because of her fear of spiders – not to mention the idea that only the girls would be subjected to this horrible situation – she discovers that her listening skills need improvement!  Rosemary finds that her class is getting some computers – involving a mouse to control computer input, a joint class “web” project on the internet, and the class is not just for girls…

Here are the closing lines:

“There’s only one question that’s left to explain:

Why just for girls? Why only female?’

Ms. Eddy just smiled and replied, “I said e-mail!”

Winner of 5 Awards, Mice & Spiders & Webs…Oh My! illustrates the importance of being a good listener.  It also is a cute introduction to basic computer terms.  It has won a Global eBook Gold Medal, a Bronze Medal in the FAPA Awards, a Readers’ Favorite H.M. Award, a Reader Views Reviewers Choice H.M, and also a Pinnacle Achievement Award.
