My CureJM Fundraiser is No Longer Active

Addie is on the Cover… Little Girl in Blue Dress!

With some sorrow, but also with understanding, I regret to inform my CureJM friends that my Fundraiser for CureJM is no longer active.

There has been no activity on the site for quite some time, and CureJM has made great strides in combatting this horrible children’s disease, so the urgency has lessened a bit…

I am so grateful to have made so many friends and kid-reviewers along the way – so many thanks to Addie ( my covergirl and inspiration), Aly, Cassie, Daisy, Tristan, Zayden, and all the others who still stay in touch with me, even though they have outgrown my books.  And that’s the positive part!!  They have outgrown them and are continuing to grow!!!  CureJM has made great strides in reducing the power of Juvenile Myositis, this incurable children’s disease – and while there still isn’t a complete cure, many many children are now in remission…

(Some, like beautiful Tanea, lost their battle way too young… and I still keep her and some other families with those who were lost in my prayers…)

So I urge all of you to continue to support the CureJM Foundation – and keep giving, as I will do also!!  We must find a Cure!!!

For any of you who wish to help CureJM through my books, please know that all of my books are available on eBay with payment through PayPal, and you can leave a message if you wish the books personalized to any child and signed by me… Please also leave mailing instructions if they are to go to another address. (I will contribute a portion of your payment to CureJM from my royalties, notifying them of your contribution.)

If you wish to purchase through amazon.com or barnesandnoble.com  please contact me directly at sherrillcannon@aol.com with confirmation of purchase, and I will also contribute a portion of my royalties for that purchase to CureJM, with a note to CureJM informing them of your contribution.  (Please note that my royalties are considerably less this way, so 50% of the purchase price is no longer possible.)

Thank you to all of you who have contributed through my Fundraiser in the past… You’re the best!!!

Sherrill

(PS – My other inactive fundraiser for imbullyfree has also been discontinued…)

Please Meet Emma, my Junior Reviewer

This is Emma, who has had to fight not only Juvenile Myositis, but Leukemia!

Emma Loves My Little Angel

Emma has an indomitable spirit and a contagious smile, although spending much of her young life at Duke Hospital and Ronald McDonald House!  This is her comment about My Little Angel from her mother:

“She loved it. She has read it so much that she knows it by heart 🙂 she shows it off to everyone?!”

Emma Conley has also just been named the Mid-Atlantic States Miss Heart of the USA the “2017 Wise Country Petite Miss Heart of Freedom”!

“Emma is the 9 year old daughter of Anthony and Ida Conley of Wise County, VA.  Emma was diagnosed with Juvenile Dermatomyositis at the age of 5 which is a rare autoimmune disease…18 months into treatment she was diagnosed with APML, a rare form of leukemia.  She has undergone many chemotherapy treatments and lumbar punctures but has kept her faith and her smiles.  She is a girly girl with high hopes and a bright spirit.  She has a big heart and touches the lives of everyone she meets in some way.”

Please also remember my CureJM Fundraiser, to help children like Emma…

Fun at Fallsington Elementary School

Fallsington Elementary School

Fallsington Elementary School

I had a wonderful Book Reading at Fallsington Elementary School yesterday! Since Fallsington is a “PA School of Character”, my books about Consideration for Others and The Golden Rule were especially appropriate!  I was able to share The Magic Word, Manner-Man, Peter and the Whimper-Whineys with the K-3 children and then My Fingerpaint Masterpiece with the entire school.  I was delighted that one of the questions asked was “Where can we get these books?”  (Fortunately, we are doing a Fundraiser with the school, so that signed books will be available!!)

Zayden is a Superhero on the Manner-Man Team

So happy to see this from Zayden’s Mom on Facebook, and wanted to share!

Zayden is a Superhero on the Manner-Man Team!

Zayden is a Superhero on the Manner-Man Team!

He’s wearing his Manner-Man Badge also!

Zayden is a CureJM warrior!  Everyone can help him fight his Juvenile Myositis by purchasing any of my children’s books through the CureJM Fundraiser at

CureJM Fundraiser

50% of the cost of the books goes to the CureJM Foundation to help find a cure for this so-far incurable children’s auto-immune disease.  You can also leave a name for any child or adult you would like acknowledged in my next book, along with Zayden and his sister Lily, as well as Jaden, Matthew, and Alyssa.

My other books include

The Golden Rule (Treat others the way you’d like to be treated)

Mice & Spiders & Webs…Oh My! (About computers and good listening)

My Fingerpaint Masterpiece (See Art with your Heart)

Gimme-Jimmy (How a Bully learns to Share)

The Magic Word (Please…and also Thank-you!)

Peter and the Whimper-Whineys (Stop whining!!)

Santa’s Birthday Gift (Santa’s Christmas gifts are birthday gifts to baby  Jesus)

Please help us find a cure!!

Please Meet My Kid Reviewer, Tristan!

Tristan remembers to be nice!

Tristan remembers to be nice!

Thank you, Tristan, for your great review and photos!  I’m so happy you understand the message of The Golden Rule!

Here is Tristan’s review:

Tristan review: “I like this book because it’s fun and has lots of colors. It helps me to remember to be nice.”

Tristan2Rev

Plus a nice message from Tristan’s mom:

“Thank you so very much Sherrill, you are very thoughtful and I’m grateful we know you!”

Tristan is one of my very special CureJM kids…

Please also remember that you can purchase through the CureJM Fundraiser: http://sbpra.com/CureJM where 50% of the cost of the books goes to the CureJM Foundation to help find a cure for Juvenile Myositis, an incurable (so far…) children’s disease.  Please help find a cure!!

Please Meet Daisy, my Video Star Kid Reviewer

Daisy Loves The Golden Rule

Daisy Loves The Golden Rule

Please meet little miss Daisy, my 5-yr-old Kid Reviewer Video Star, whose Mom informed me that her first remarks about the cover were: “Awwww, they’re all holding one of her books! Look! Gimme-Jimmy is holding his own book.”

Her Mom was kind enough to make a YouTube video of Daisy’s review, which I am happy to share…

Daisy is one of my CureJM kids as well. She faces monthly infusions and debilitating reactions, causing her to suffer greatly and have to miss school frequently. One day she announced to her mother that she was so happy that she was able to get though an entire day at school “just like a regular kid”.

So Daisy and many of my other Kid Reviewers can benefit from participation in my CureJM Fundraiser at CureJM Fundraiser where 50% of the cost of the books goes to the CureJM Foundation. Please help us find a cure!!

(My books are also part of a similar fundraiser for imbullyfree.org at http://sbpra.com/imbullyfree.  Daisy doesn’t like bullies either!)

Thanks so much, Daisy, for sharing your story with me! Sending love…
