I am so thrilled to share the lovely trailer for A Dime is a Sign, prepared for me by a friend…
Thank you to Brynmor Productions for the Trailer http://www.brynmorproductions.com
I’ve enjoyed seeing interest and sales, especially for Manner-Man which was written in response to my then 4-yr-old grandson’s request for a book about a Superhero. Manner-Man is a Superhero who teaches children how to believe in themselves and to stand up for others. Manner-Man is a winner of 10 Awards, including the CLIPP Principals’ Award. The book was a direct follow-up to The Magic Word and Gimme-Jimmy, and uses the characters from both former books.
The Magic Word, winner of 5 Awards, encourages the use of “Please” and “Thank-You” in the life of a child, Elisabeth is a child whose selfishness has caused her to not have many friends… She learns how to share by being polite and thinking of others… Her Mom tells her, “I think you’ll find out you’ll be happier too, If you think more of others and less about you.”
Gimme-Jimmy is about how a bully learns to share… and is also the winner of 5 Awards. Jimmy is rude and says “Gimme” a lot, and his father warns him that his hand might enlarge every time he says the word. Jimmy discovers his “Polite Rule” as his hand shrinks back to normal. (It was also fun to write a story about a child and his father!)
All three books I consider my “Manners Trilogy”, and I am very pleased that they have become very popular – which is especially encouraging in today’s world! Kindness and thinking of others is a constant theme.
Many of the characters also have been included my other children’s books… Look for them in The Golden Rule too!!
(All of my books have been Illustrated by Kalpart Illustrations… and published by SBPRA)
My other children’s books include Santa’s Birthday Gift, Peter and the Whimper-Whineys, My Fingerpaint Masterpiece, Mice & Spiders & Webs…Oh My!, My Little Angel, and poetry books A Penny for Your Thoughts and A Dime is a Sign. All are available on amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com
What fun to be able to share my children’s books, first with children and later with grandchildren! I was so delighted to receive this lovely review for My Fingerpaint Masterpiece from author and publisher Amanda Thrasher. She even shared a photo of her adorable granddaughter with me!
Here is her 5-Star Review:
(And here is her adorable granddaughter!)
Amanda is the author of many award-winning children’s books including her Mushroom Patch Mischief series, plus her outstanding Y/A books The Greenlee Project, Bitter Betrayal and her most recent, Captain Fin. (I think I may have become a Young Adult!!!)
Amanda is also the Chief Executive Officer at Progressive Rising Phoenix Press.
It has been gratifying to discover that sales continue to climb for The Golden Rule, since its message is to think of others and be nice! “Treat others the way you’d like to be treated”
Suggestions include “Pay it forward”, and “…thinking of others is also a part of that rule, which means thinking with head and with heart”.
I also love this beautiful meme prepared by Children’s Literary Classics: These are all contained in the pages of this beautifully illustrated book, multi-award-winning book (thank you Kalpart Illustrations).
The New Apple Literary Awards have been officially posted, and I am happy to share the announcement for A Penny for Your Thoughts which was the Sole Medal Winner in Poetry, and my wonderful Illustrator Kalpart, has been kind enough to update the cover (again.)

Thank you to Kalpart for illustrating all of my books!
Thank you to the New Apple Literary Awards for these honors!!
My illustrator, KJ of Kalpart Illustrations, is the very best! Kalpart has illustrated all eleven of my books, which have received 71 Awards, and KJ makes sure to add all those lovely stickers to the cover of each book!
The most recent award is the Reader Views Readers Choice Literary Award for 2nd Place in Poetry to A Dime is a Sign. It has also won a Bronze Medal in the Feathered Quill Awards, and a Pinnacle Achievement Award. In addition, the book has also received three 5-star reviews from Readers Favorite…
A Dime is a Sign is a companion volume to A Penny for Your Thoughts, and is also an attempt to put feelings into words. If you’ve ever loved, been loved, been confused about love, or suffered from loss of love, then you may find your own feelings in this book. It contains lyrical poetry including sonnets, free verse, haiku, and blank verse…
A Penny for Your Thoughts has now won a dozen awards… Both books are also available as eBooks. All of my books, including my award-winning children’s books, can be found on my website:
With some sorrow, but also with understanding, I regret to inform my CureJM friends that my Fundraiser for CureJM is no longer active.
There has been no activity on the site for quite some time, and CureJM has made great strides in combatting this horrible children’s disease, so the urgency has lessened a bit…
I am so grateful to have made so many friends and kid-reviewers along the way – so many thanks to Addie ( my covergirl and inspiration), Aly, Cassie, Daisy, Tristan, Zayden, and all the others who still stay in touch with me, even though they have outgrown my books. And that’s the positive part!! They have outgrown them and are continuing to grow!!! CureJM has made great strides in reducing the power of Juvenile Myositis, this incurable children’s disease – and while there still isn’t a complete cure, many many children are now in remission…
(Some, like beautiful Tanea, lost their battle way too young… and I still keep her and some other families with those who were lost in my prayers…)
So I urge all of you to continue to support the CureJM Foundation – and keep giving, as I will do also!! We must find a Cure!!!
For any of you who wish to help CureJM through my books, please know that all of my books are available on eBay with payment through PayPal, and you can leave a message if you wish the books personalized to any child and signed by me… Please also leave mailing instructions if they are to go to another address. (I will contribute a portion of your payment to CureJM from my royalties, notifying them of your contribution.)
If you wish to purchase through amazon.com or barnesandnoble.com please contact me directly at email@example.com with confirmation of purchase, and I will also contribute a portion of my royalties for that purchase to CureJM, with a note to CureJM informing them of your contribution. (Please note that my royalties are considerably less this way, so 50% of the purchase price is no longer possible.)
Thank you to all of you who have contributed through my Fundraiser in the past… You’re the best!!!
(PS – My other inactive fundraiser for imbullyfree has also been discontinued…)
