Thank you to my fabulous illustrator, Kalpart Illustrations, for adding the Pinnacle Achievement Award to the cover of A Dime is a Sign. This is its first award, although it has also been honored with three 5-Star Reviews from Readers Favorites.
A Dime is a Sign is a companion volume to A Penny for Your Thoughts! They are both compilations of poetry, written and shared through the years with former students, friends and family, all attempting to put feelings into words!
Don’t forget Valentine’s Day is approaching!
A Dime is a Sign has won its first award, a Pinnacle Achievement Award in Poetry!
Congratulations to all winners…
Lovely note from a former classmate…
“I read A Dime is a Sign from cover to cover, hadn’t intended to do it so quickly but found it almost impossible to put down, and finished it up in the middle of last night. I thought it was wonderful…, I decided to mark off which poems I liked the best or felt that connected with me especially, so made a light mark in pencil so that I would be sure and tell you which ones. And, lo and behold, it is a list that goes on forever, so it would be senseless to tell you. But I wanted to tell you that I liked A Dime is a Sign tremendously…I am so sure that I know which one was used for the wedding, at least I thought so the minute I read it. “I Love You” is what I chose. Do you know which one it was?…One poem that I found particularly lovely was “Worship” and would love to see that used at the Cathedral during a service someday. All in all, a most fabulous collection of your poetry.. I will read it over and over again. You made me feel warm and fuzzy. What a talent you have for writing and giving happiness. Lucky you!”
Thank you, Betsy!
