Booksigning at Barnes & Noble, Vestal NY 9/21

I had a wonderful booksigning at Barnes & Noble in Vestal NY on Tuesday 9/21. It’s such fun to share my books with others – and it was nice to meet a few fellow local authors at the same time! “Peter and the Whimper-Whineys” was very popular, and I was pleased that there was also renewed interest in “Santa’s BirthdBarnes & Noble, Vestal NYSigning Peter & the Whimper-Whineysay Gift”!

No More Whining!

No More Whining!!!There are lots of complaints about whining children, so as a former teacher and grandmother of nine I offer the following suggestion:  Frequently it helps for children to be read fun-stories that illustrate the unpleasantness of bad behavior and ways to correct it. Sometimes children don’t understand how annoying the sound of whining can be. My latest children’s book, “Peter and the Whimper-Whineys” by Sherrill S. Cannon is a story of a little rabbit who does nothing but whine. This rhyming book should be read with alternating normal voice and whining voice, according to the character speaking. Children learn that Whimper-Whineyland is not a fun place to be, not just for all the whining and crying that goes on but for all the other unpleasant character traits exemplified!!! The book can be found on where there is the read-inside-the-book feature, as well as on I hope that this might help your child as well as it has helped my children and grandchildren!

Reading Peter and the Whimper-WhineysWhine-Stopper for Kids

I now have an Author Facebook Fan Page – see link below.  Please check it out and become a fan!!!

Peter and the Whimper-Whineys seems to be doing very well, and is appealing to parents who have problems with whining children.  It seems to be a fun way to get kids to realize how annoying whining can be, and they really don’t want have to go live with the Whimper-Whineys!  (This photo was taken at my book reading/signing event at the Shady Brook Farms in Yardley PA last month.  I  have another book-signing event scheduled for Sept. 21 at the Barnes and Noble in Vestal NY at 6:30)
