I was asked to update my author information on Amazon’s Author Central, so I have decided to share this with all of you as well…

For those of you who know me only as a children’s author or poet, I am also a playwright with seven published and internationally performed plays for elementary school children. These plays are all available at Lazy Bee Scripts in the UK.  Most of these plays were co-authored with my daughter, Kerry Gallagher, an acclaimed elementary school teacher.  (Our newest play, The Re-United States of America,  was performed last June for the combined 4th grade classes at Churchville Elementary – and has rhymes for each state and its capital. Each student has at least one line! It will be performed again this Flag Day by the 2019 4th graders, if anyone is in the area!)

This new bio also includes a list of the countries where our children’s plays have been performed.  If only I could have attended all of them!

Sherrill S. Cannon is a former teacher and a grandmother of ten, who is also a Multi-Award-Winning Best-Selling Author! Her children’s books My Little Angel, The Golden Rule, Mice & Spiders & Webs…Oh My!, My Fingerpaint Masterpiece, Manner-Man, Gimme-Jimmy, The Magic Word, Peter and the Whimper-Whineys and Santa’s Birthday Gift as well as her two books of poetry, A Penny for Your Thoughts and A Dime is A Sign, have received seventy-one 2011-19 National awards.

She is also a playwright with seven published and internationally performed plays for elementary school children, produced in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom as well as Australia, Austria, Botswana, Cambodia, China, Cyprus, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Qatar, Singapore, Spain, and the United Arab Emirates (so far).

She is a resident of New Hope, PA and travels with her husband of 59 years throughout North America in their RV, sharing her books along the way!

Fun to Find Sales Up for The Golden Rule

Winner of 9 Awards

It has been gratifying to discover that sales continue to climb for The Golden Rule, since its message is to think of others and be nice!  “Treat others the way you’d like to be treated”

Suggestions include “Pay it forward”, and “…thinking of others is also a part of that rule, which means thinking with head and with heart”.
